Male midwives are called "midWIVES" because the "wife" in "midwife" doesn't refer to the person assisting with the birth, but rather the person giving birth, i.e. the "wife" (originally simply meaning "woman.") So "midwife" is actually a unisex term. Like "demonslayer."

Honestly, I feel like every live-action Punisher had great casting but a terrible story/script, including Lundgren. Is it really so hard to write a good Punisher movie/show? Just freaking film the Max run. And add a scene where Frank looks into the camera and says "ACAB." That's all you need!
I don't like Netflix's Punisher. I think Jon Bernthal is doing the best job he can with awful scripts (except for Daredevil Season 2), but I never see the character that I came to know from the comics in him. All I see is Crazy Frank, which is not the Punisher.

I don't like Netflix's Punisher. I think Jon Bernthal is doing the best job he can with awful scripts (except for Daredevil Season 2), but I never see the character that I came to know from the comics in him. All I see is Crazy Frank, which is not the Punisher.

Spartans weren't invincible super soldiers. Their true strength lay in being disciplined and organized (though even that is a bit of an oversimplification). They lost a shit-ton of battles. I love telling RW history fetishists about how they lost to the Sacred Band of Thebes, and what the SBoT was.

Spartans weren't invincible super soldiers. Their true strength lay in being disciplined and organized (though even that is a bit of an oversimplification). They lost a shit-ton of battles. I love telling RW history fetishists about how they lost to the Sacred Band of Thebes, and what the SBoT was.

I love my local Chinese restaurant. Nothing fancy but they have all the staples and they're all 7/10 for dirt-cheap prices. I eat there often in the day but also buy the packed food they couldn't move and sell an hour before closing. It's like $8 for 2 full meals.
