You also have to show the action of placing one hand above the other.
Point little finger and thumb outwards at 45° angles horizontally to create a reversed 八 which you can pronounce as the や. Then do the same with the other hand to make another one and you have two や’s (x2 = 倍/ばい). Place one hand on top of the other and you have ヤバい
Also the way they came up with the 手話 for ヤバい is genius.
My daughter goes to a school for the hard of hearing. She taught me the sign language for ヤバい and it’s a joy to use.
Who needs peace and quiet in the countryside? Support beams for what could be the world's fastest train, possibly reaching 603 km/h.

Taken on cheap film that caused light leaks seanbreslin.jp/2025/10/18/l...

Used grandfather's old Kodak Cresta with Lomo Colour '92. The camera was fine (shot Kodak before with good results), but this film suffered from 'fat roll' - doesn't roll tight enough, causing light leaks. A waste of money :-( Sticking to Ilford or Kodak from now on.

The Nakasendō – Ena to Nakatsugawa

Four years already? Was that how long it had been since I'd walked this section of the Kisoji/Nakasendō? (It was December 19th, 2021). Pandemic times. Not another soul in sight back then.

Hazama Fudoson – Seki

We used to live just down the road in Inuyama, which meant I often cycled up and over the Kagamigahara Alps on routine bike rides, right past Hazama Fudouson (迫間不動尊) in Seki, Gifu prefecture.

She’s Brendan Carr in a blue dress; Shinzo Abe in flats. An enemy of press freedom.
The Kodak Brownie Cresta

My grandfather owned a Kodak Brownie Cresta, and although it was a fairly inexpensive camera, he kept it in immaculate condition.

Aston Villa v Newcastle United

Every time I'm in the UK visiting family, I try to get to a Villa game to reminisce about my childhood, when I used to stand in the Holte End with my dad most Saturday afternoons.
