Sometimes you watch Christmas stories about kindness told through musical puppets. Other times you watch Christmas stories about the horrific human toll of war told through giant robots.

Every person who has ever replaced a form with an AI chatbot should be sent to live out the rest of their days in the woods.

Bruce Springsteen’s “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town” is the only Christmas song that canonically takes place on the Jersey Shore

"Anthropomorphizing AI gives people the wrong idea about what these systems actually are. And that has consequences. When we begin to assign consciousness and emotional intelligence to an entity where none exists, we start trusting AI in ways it was never meant to be trusted."
Stop Talking About AI as if It's Human. It's Not
Commentary: Instead of pretending AI is a cognizant being with emotions, let's examine the actual risks and limitations.

I’m watching Christmas Vacation for the first time, and I have no idea why the cool hot couple next door would live there instead of the city.

I texted my father about Lando’s win, and in true Racing Fan Dad fashion his only response was “DAYTONA!!!!”

Went to a thrift store this week and found this framed picture of a young Bruce Springsteen, and now it’s on my bookshelf in a place of honor like some dead uncle.

This is one of those things that I think is quietly important – when these people are talking shit about cities, Portland or Minneapolis or New York or Charlotte or wherever, you have to loudly say, “no, fuck you, you’re lying, that town and its people whip ass and you’re the asshole”

Someone needs to study the fact that all food co-ops kinda smell the same.

Liquid Glass is absolute garbage and I can’t wait for it to go away. The unique choices of designing for extended reality just do not translate to screens, and now using my Apple TV makes me feel like I’m in design hell circa 2008.

What's rad about last.fm is that you can just download all of your listening data and create your own end of year music roundup, and no one can stop you. I'm calling mine Seanify Wrapped.

Just saw an ad for DayQuil touting it’s ability to help you “power through the flu” and it breaks my heart every time I’m reminded that not even COVID could teach us, as a society, that people need rest and care when they are sick in order to protect themselves, and others.

Finally giving Qobuz a try, and so far it's been a very interesting battle to not let my familiarity with Spotify (interface, features, etc.) keep me from fully diving into it. Unlike learning a new piece of software for work, this is almost like breaking a bad habit and learning a new one.
