One of the books of the year, and great to meet on of your journalistic heroes. The book is a very important book of our time, relating to all things autism and music. The Kraftwerk chapter is very emotional, @johnharris1969.bsky.social

I never saw the Roses live, but I saw Mani with Primal Scream several times, including memorable gigs at the Wedgewood Rooms,in ‘97, Creamfields in ‘98, and Event II, Brighton:2000.They’re still one of my fave live bands:Mani gave them an extra edge and groove.Keep on keeping on…

Some lovely Mani tributes/memories. I never met him, but I spoke to him on the phone:my friend, Alex Lowe, from Hurricane#1, was a mate of his - one night, when Alex and I had been out drinking in Scotland, where Alex lived,he called Mani, and we all had a quick chat! It’s hazy…

A Famous Encounter and "Like a Rolling Pin"
Bob Dylan once stopped by to see The Replacements rehearsing and just happened to appear when they were playing a parody of one of his songs.

I really enjoyed doing these interviews for @super-deluxe.bsky.social - great to chat to Phil Manzanera and Eddie Rayner about Split Enz’s ‘76 album, Second Thoughts: new box set and Blu-ray out now. #SplitEnz #RoxyMusic
There's a wonderful interview with #RoxyMusic legend #PhilManzanera, on SDE, about his production work on #SplitEnz's 1976 album 'Second Thoughts'. Eddie Rayner, the band's keyboardist, also answers some questions! Have a read > bit.ly/47NHRyL

The new @ronsexsmith.bsky.social album is brilliant:full of his idiosyncrasies and also nods to McCartney, Bacharach,Costello and Dylan:there are two killer, acerbic put-downs wrapped up in wonderful tunes: ‘Easy For You To Say’ and ‘Outside Looking In.’ Pure class: open.spotify.com/album/1Qds1x...

Been in bed for two days with a stinking cold. I didn’t get out of the house for Halloween but I have watched Halloween, Halloween II and Halloween III: Season of the Witch. My Friday and Saturday have been soundtracked by eerie ‘70s and early ‘80s synths. 🎃 🎹

How’s your Halloween? I’ve been in bed with a cold all day. Fittingly, I feel like death.
