False of "just one"; Truth of Many.
"I’m just one person...the narrative that we are disconnected, powerless individuals... The truth is that I’m not alone, and I’m never just one person. My actions have a direct effect on my peers, friends and family, and I am influenced myself by others."
Just read this great piece by Thomas Johannsen, a perfect resource for exiting the problematic big tech monopolies (and inspiring you to do so). If you've already made the shift to Bluesky for ethical reasons, here are the next steps in your journey toward digital sainthood.
On Swarms, Davos and the Power of the Powerless
Let’s take a look today at the power of individuals against world leaders and what swarm improvisation principles suggest is best to do. This is a rather unusual post for this blog, but hey, …

Trump said he would fight for “forgotten Americans.” I didn’t know that meant Jeff Bezos.

Despite making $89.5 BILLION in profits last year, Amazon paid just 3.1% in taxes.

This is what Republicans’ SNAP & Medicaid cuts were for.

Guess that ‘Melania’ doc really paid off.

Well, NOW he says that. When he was PM he told the Americans that accepting the Keystone XL pipeline was a no-brainer. It has been the Liberals who have given Alberta access to markets via a pipeline *on Canadian soil*, which is why record production. Not to mention the huge LNG Canada project.

And those whining Albertans also forget that the original 1950s TM pipeline, the one twinned via TMX, was also a federal Liberal project. Alberta thrives on fantasy victimhood.

Swear to god, ICE could just announce they're leaving a city but not leave and the media will just stop covering that city completely even though ICE never left.

It's what ICE and the media did with LA and they're doing it with Minneapolis too

UPC intends to make Alberta’s (and all of Canada’s) treasured health care a for-profit system. Just like 🇺🇸.
Call on the feds NOW to enforce the Canada Health Act and overturn Alberta’s Bill 11.
The purpose of Alberta’s Health Statutes Amendment Act is to destroy public health care as we know it.

Not just in Alberta, but throughout Canada, by legislating two-tier health care. @djclimenhaga.bsky.social writes. #abpoli
