Gallego to Hegseth: "You will never ever be half the man that Sen. Kelly is. You, sir, are a coward. And the fact that you are following this order from the president shows how big of a coward you are. I can't wait until you are no longer the secretary of defense."

Saw an unhinged take that they should make a prequel to Wicked - itself something of a prequel - about the young Wizard arriving in Oz. You’re describing Oz the Great and Powerful and everybody hated it. Also, this Wizard is a fascist. Who wants to see the young Hitler musical?

It’s very confusing trying to remember which day Thanksgiving is when everyone’s been tearing apart the grocery store for three weeks as though it’s the next day, and then going home and decorating the whole neighborhood for Christmas already.

Neither the President nor the Secretary of Education has the power to eliminate the Department of Education. So they can try to not do the job, or task other agencies with doing the jobs it’s supposed to do. But legally, the department still exists and can be forced by courts to do stuff.

It’s weird that now people seem to have Friendsgiving a week before the holiday so they can still go to a family Thanksgiving, thus negating the whole reason Friendsgiving began as a way for those who couldn’t or didn’t want to spend the day with their family to have something to do.
