Sounds like “software as a service” being proposed.
We’ve seen this movie before: aging leaders surrounded by loyalists unwilling to confront hard truths. The question now is whether the country is bracing for another slow-moving political train wreck. The warning signs are familiar, but the willingness to act on them remains uncertain.
With more instances of Donald Trump appearing fatigued or forgetful, Americans are again seeing evidence of a president who lacks the energy to do his demanding job, @dgraham.bsky.social argues.
The Enfeebling of the President
Trump is showing signs that he’s lost the physical stamina to do the job.

@wsj.com Trump’s U Turn on Nvidia Chips to China? It never was. Trump’s foreign policy is neither miscalculation nor reversal — it is a deliberate by reducing alliances and security commitments to a zero-sum ledger, he treats hard-won influence as expendable. His priority remains singular: himself.

@bloomberg.com is #Trump having second thoughts that he’s no longer driving the bus? His pardon of a Texas Congressman who announces in turn he’s running as a Texas Democrats. And his flip flop on #CBS stating that since the #Paramount takeover CBS hasn’t changed.

The fear Donald Trump may take extreme measures is no excuse for the nation to tremble in silence. His use of clemency has already crossed from recklessness into a clear and present danger to democratic norms. Now is the moment demands courage, scrutiny, and resistance—not quiet acceptance.
If you’re taking some satisfaction from the MAGA crackup, don’t let your guard down. It’s when Trump feels he’s in trouble that he does the biggest and craziest things to deflect attention. Some thoughts... https://robertreich.substack.com/p/sunday-thought-really-truly-the-end

I've been saying this for a year now: the Democrats have missed a gigantic political opportunity--and, at this point, have failed in an ethical obligation--to create a shadow-government health department that dispenses medically accurate information, guidance, and advice.

America is running out of time to confront a simple, devastating truth: a president does not need to openly break the law to undermine the Constitution. A president becomes unpresidential the moment he stops acting as the nation’s executive and begins acting as his own.
I don’t understand one thing: clearly Trump is not long for this earth, he’s an older man. Still could live another 10 years but still that’s not long.

Does he really have no concern about facing his creator?

Trump’s tragedy is rooted in a miscalculation — treating Ukraine as a zero-sum game. Believing deal-making alone could settle war, he throttled back aid to Kyiv and now washes his hands of the outcome. The consequences of that misread are now unmistakable.
The confusion still swirling in Washington over President Donald Trump's latest peace plan for Ukraine has made one thing clear: The U.S. president's unconventional, all-in approach to diplomacy carries big risks.

It’s unacceptable to expect officers to run into ambushes. Texas recorded highest enforcement fatalities of any state—18 officers killed in the line of duty. If policymakers and the Supreme Court truly care about public safety — and officer safety — it’s time to revive common-sense gun legislation.
Three police officers were injured while exchanging fire with a gunman on Wednesday at a gas station in Omaha, the authorities said. The gunman was killed, and two of the officers sustained serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.
