And Breathe: The Game That Forgot How to Wait
Football hasn’t changed as much as we think. It still takes time to build. It still takes time to grow.

I thought we were special. Turns out everyone beats City these days…

Loving Carragher and Henry’s analysis of Saturday’s game on #MNF. Firstly, because it’s brilliant analysis and secondly because it’s just nice to see everything in slow motion!

That Scholes and Butt doubling down 🥴

Literally an open goal to just come out and say “he’s made us look right stupid hasn’t he”.

Yet they play the ‘we got stick too’ card with Hansen’s “kids” comment, ignoring the fact it was aimed that at the manager and a whole team and not an individual.

Do Premier League managers need to rein it in a bit? There’s a lot of noise about not being backed, finances, expectations etc. Surely part of the job is doing proper due diligence before signing. Know the club, know the model, know the limits.

Been down this road before haven’t we:

1-3 vs PSG (Ole)
3-2 vs Arsenal (Carrick)
2-0 vs Liverpool (Ten Hag’s first win)
4-3 vs Liverpool (FA Cup Semi)
2-0 vs City (FA Cup win)

What this group need to show us is that they can mentally get up for a number of games in a row. Not just one offs.
I didn’t want to say anything yesterday because I was happy for the win but was anyone else slightly annoyed by that performance? Where the hell has an effort like that been for the past few months? From totally dominated against Brighton’s reserves to thrashing City. Still consistently inconsistent

Justice for Matt Page…

Palace went behind in the 72nd minute today and Glasner made no changes? Seems an odd one. Granted, there’s not a lot on that bench and I haven’t seen the game but on paper, you’d think Uche might have got on?

That's £414m since 1 January 2025. Meanwhile, still no sign of a decision in the PL/City legal wrangle over 129/130 charges, several serious enough to warrant relegation if substantiated. A joke, not a good one.

Never in doubt…
Contrary to what the media will tell you, this Man United side aren’t in turmoil. 2 league defeats in 15 will tell you that. So not completely surprised by that half. Clearly the better side, but we need to capitalise. Can’t see us keeping a clean sheet, so goals are needed. Enjoying it!

Not sure I can take another hour or so of that. Will turn back on at half past.

Club lacking stability with penny-pinching owners, an interfering Director of Football and sub-par players, seeks ‘lunatics’ with histories of short stays at clubs, who require money, that struggle working under interfering Directors of Football and fall out with players on a regular basis. Perfect!

Martinez have played 5 games against Haaland, he only score in 1 of them. They have no idea what they are talking about, awful

I don’t mind ex-players, pundits etc being negative about United as long as they provide reasonable justification. I mean, there’s certainly enough going wrong at the club at the moment to pick from!
January 15, 2026 at 6:04 PM
While it might be naive to think otherwise, (no spoilers) do we think there’s been greater producer input in this series of #TheTraitors? Some very odd decisions from the players.

A lot of talk of late about United needing to ‘move on’ from Sir Alex. You can’t have it both ways - faux uproar when his ambassadorial role was removed while also wanting him out of the club completely to help the club ‘move on’.
