In a strange way, I feel the hair-cut guy and the 5 wins in a row narrative (quite a rare feat for any team) has skewed some fans’ expectations. Winning 3 on the bounce and drawing 2 tricky away games is ‘fine’. If we won every game, we’d literally be title contenders - that ain’t us! 😂

I wouldn’t say our away form is a real concern. A win at Anfield and a point at Forest and Spurs in our last three is such an improvement from where we were at the start of the season/last season. Frustrating yes, but not concerning.

My fear. They were so, so bad against Chelsea on Saturday that it’s almost impossible to be anywhere near that tomorrow. Their fans simply wouldn’t let them I don’t think. Added to the fact they had a good win in the week, I’m expecting a really tricky one.

Absolutely. Winning in the PL is really hard & it was always going to take time. 3 wins and a draw doesn’t mean he’s cracked it and all of a sudden we’re going to be challenging Arsenal & City, but the progress is vindication for just sticking with something for once. Not everything has a quick fix.

It’s just such an odd stance to take considering the last month or so has probably been our best for a couple of years! Genuine oddball.

Aye. To be fair, the main body of their conversation was around Forest, new manager, the role of set pieces in the game etc. Then Townsend kind of caught everyone off guard with his strange take! Made for interesting listening.
