I saw someone criticizing the omenpath cards for "feeling disjointed", while I am absolutely in love with seeing cards from a lot of previously visited planes. Not to mention the implication that a "villain" (slander!) has resurrected slivers somewhere.

I get that the wizard books were super influential and huge when we were growing up.
I understand how enthralling it was when we were kids and teens - The adventure, the mystery, the magic.
