My standard feed. I'm trying to sanitise for a while but it's already pretty crowded, so I didn't even add any more feeds.

I thought I started different this time. But my timeline end up like a perpetual anxiety machine again.

Many seem to like Bluesky simply because racism is not glorified or bigotry is not incentivised. But everything else that turned Twitter into a giant web of shit is apparently acceptable.

I don't need one-liner snarky-ness or different shots of the incident, but what's going on, really? Are there legal actions? What Americans/Democrats/Judges do? There is no follow-up. We're meant to watch those clips thousand times, get pissed off each time, and move on to the next appalling clip.
January 11, 2026 at 12:01 AM
One thing that pushes me away from Bluesky is that it is becoming the “good twin of Twitter”. I see the same 20-second video of ICE assaulting a woman shared again and again, yet I learn nothing new.

Is that really enough for everyone?

Shermer is an embarrassment to the term skeptic. He has been for a long time. He isn’t welcome at any skeptical event I’m aware of, and rightly so. Jesus fucking christ.
The publisher of "Skeptic Magazine" thinks if you get murdered by agents of the government in the act of protest, it's your fault for just not staying home.

Ayda 2-3 kez Feysbuka ve Twitter'a girip Skeptics in the Pub etkinliklerini ayarlıyorum. Her seferinde aman bir şeye bakmayayım, sinirim bozulmasın, takılmayayım falan diye stres oluyorum.

Also, please, can we stop with the tourism income angle?

The US has been openly hostile to non-Europeans for years. So maybe stop whining about tourism incomes and recognise the double standard.

Social media checks have been around since Trump’s first term, just for visas, so only for the "lesser people".

Funny how when a western dictator applies the same stuff to western Europeans, it suddenly becomes a huge deal. It was always a huge deal. Some were simply exempt from this idiocracy.

One of the rare taxation efforts of Labour, affecting upper-middle classes. It might have been more extensive by targeting those with several properties.

It also seems like right-wing media is pretty negative about this move, which sadly means that there will be a U-turn pretty soon :)

Unspoken Rule: If you’re asking data from a legacy system, keep your transformation requests simple. The other developers probably don’t give a sh*t, and they’ll do a half-baked job if you complicate things.

(Not that I know of anything!)
