Finally got around to getting Choccy a nice harness from @crunchycurl.com
Reindeer but without the strap connecting top and bottom (can't be having any straps getting in the way of belly rubs :D )

Everything about masto is self-defeating. It's like people who sincerely suggest plain rice cakes as an alternative to Doritos. Like, sure, if you're somebody who can find something satisfying after it's had 110% of the joy sucked out of it, I guess that works.

The Thai place's menu warns you that their hot is hot and it's what I always get but the real warning should be that it's inconsistent.

Sometimes it's just hot. Sometimes it's very hot. And sooooometimes it makes you disassociate and see coyote-god in the bumps on your ceiling.

I always play Redguard in Morrowind tbh. Adrenaline Rush is just dang handy to always have in your back pocket, especially earlier.

Looks like my chocolate-syrup-striped tiger costume Choccy doesn't appreciate me trying to sneak out to Halloween activities without putting him on. >.>;

I think for me, I have no problem not using these sites / apps when I have something specific I know I need to be doing.

What I'm trying to break is using them basically to kill time, when what I want to be doing is spending that time seeking out productive or rewarding things to do.

Realized today that I think I've been using this backwards - I had been restricting use 8a-8p, but I think I should actually be doing the opposite.

I think looking at bsky + reddit first thing in the morning is probably bad for my brain, and likewise before bed is probably not helping me wind down.

I hated it when I used it in the past and I'm sure I'll hate it now, but I'm seeing myself getting into some bad time-wasting brain-petting habits.

TBH the timer is the most valuable part; it prompts me to question if I'm spending time usefully or just burning it.

Eng Mgr group at my company recently realized that the company had implemented new filters that were screening out great candidates, so word has got around to ask HR to disable it if we don't love the pool they give you. It sucks that it's on or off, so it's a trickle or a flood, but 🤷‍♂️

Got a root canal + crown in my mid-30s after avoiding the dentist for several years.

Cleaning + checkup every 4 months since then; never ever want major dental work again. Miserable and also $$$ even with insurance. Prevention is The Way.

After a little time with it, I like that it shows last time you did that routine, not just that lift, and the weight, reps, and rpe, which is super helpful for progression.

Does anybody have a non-skyfeeds OnlyPosts feed that works well? It's been my primary feed almost as long as I've used bsky but it seems skyfeed is having some real issues lately.

fr tho it is maddening how hard it is to figure out basic info like party alignment for local candidates sometimes. You’d think at a bare minimum the local / regional party would have a site with a quick listing of affiliated candidates or something.
