It's irrational how sad the closing of JoAnn Fabrics makes me, I know stores come and go but that one has been a touch point for me. From buying embroidery floss in 4th grade, High school theater, going with Amy at the Ren Fair, Working there and meeting friends, my first management job.

From a modern reproduction, The author things I made an error in the beginning so starting over with hopefully better results.

The pattern called for sz 3s and I'm even using size 2s! I started down a size. If I go much smaller it won't look right width wise.

Trying to knit up a historic knitting pattern but it looks...wrong? so much more open.
