I wonder if we’ll get an Andreas Kümmert situation in some national finals this season when the winner decides not to go to #Eurovision. Will be interesting to see how the protests play out in the next few months…

Please harness the connections, friendships and networks you’ve created within the Eurovision fandom, and continue to do so. Don’t let a stupid decision that kept the said country in jeopardise that.

I don’t have the energy to stare at my phone and wait for news from the EBU’s General Assembly, so I’m working and listening to Brian Eno and Celine Dion instead.

Yeah this feature is just dreadful. It can cause people to question or feel ashamed of their own music taste if their age doesn’t align with what this tells them. No doubt it was an AI bot that created this feature. We’re so doomed #spotifywrapped
Spotify, end this feature it is just embarrassing. Our tastes don't ossify in our youth. Signed a middle aged crone who hasn't stopped listened to new music just because she's middle aged

Oh now the school girls are playing music and YouTube VERY LOUDLY. I feel like putting Barbra Streisand on loudspeaker, but I’d no doubt get some looks from them and be told to turn it off…
Currently en route to London for a day work event and I’m surrounded by a very loud school group of girls. Plus some loud coughing noises and I won’t be surprised if I end up with the lurgy when I get home 😭

Not necessarily a question, but a library customer was so p*ssed off with me because I didn’t know the name of a local councillor or their contact details off by heart and I had to look it up on the internet 🙄 ‘YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS!’ He proclaimed.
What’s the worst question someone can ask after you tell them your profession? For linguists, it’s definitely “how many languages do you speak?”, but I’m curious what else is happening to the rest of y’all out there?!

Been having an Inside No9 rewatch binge and just finished “The 12 days of Christine”. Which is probably the most beautiful but also heartbreaking episode in the series. I’m now an emotional wreck 😭😭😭
