My mom complains about me being super afraid of roller-coaster as a kid and it's just so clear to me that that was a huge sign my massive ANXIETY DISORDER (you know, the thing she was *shocked* I was diagnosed with as an adult)

This feels like it's coming from a perspective of never having to change extreme views after being deep in conservative spaces your whole life. I didn't turn from a young Republican into a liberal because people ostracized me. Ofc, care of yourselves, don't accept abuse but... this ain't it.
The narrative that anti-vaxxers or QAnon weirdos will come back from the brink if we're nice enough to them isn't tenable morally and doesn't hold up empirically. Ostracizing people whose beliefs harm others is a critical aspect of a functioning marketplace of ideas.

I really feel like the modern day social media algorithm relies too heavily on *most recently viewed post* -- nothing like viewing one political meme to suddenly have your entire page filled with repeats of the exact same thing. Boring as hell.

Adams must be removed. The city cannot sustain being governed for nearly a year by a Mayor who is being coerced by Trump admin in order to escape charges.
This corruption poses a real threat to the people of the city. He should have resigned a while ago, but will not. So it’s time for him to go.
