"Reclaiming" is both fascinating and telling. Reclaim from who or what? How have teachers come to lose their claim and ownership of PD? And what does reclaiming look like?

Vital questions, along with the two you posted here. Once you have good answers, the benefits are considerable.

The Mariners have a certain Canadian fan base because of their proximity to Vancouver, but the country as a whole is really rallying around the Jays right now. Should be intense if not as edgy as playing the Yankees, a divisional rival whose fans were booing O Canada.

Very thankful to start Thanksgiving weekend by seeing Daniel Lanois perform tonight. Didn't take pics or video; just got immersed in the musicianship and craft of a great Canadian artist I've loved for decades. Superb.

Locking my brain and body into rhythms always helps me. Listening to and playing music. Cycling is huge for me. Walking. Sitting in nature and plugging into all the sounds.

And, of course, poetry.
