I quite often wish I loved anything the way Beatles dudes love the Beatles.
Now I've gone through all my Beatles albums in a row for my vinyl thread and watched all the new Anthology edits I really want there to be even more Beatles stuff and there isn't and that is sad.

The bar lady at the town hall is worried that Plague of Angels plus a massive organ may be loud. I certainly hope so ;)

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I love Joe Root.

The ongoing attempt to conflate AI with LLMs is getting me madder and madder. AI is great. LLMs are a vacuous parlour trick designed by charlatans to bamboozle simpletons.

Still reeling from the Stanford report on Brexit. Reduced GDP by up to 8% and investment by as much as 18%. The UK Treasury would have £40 billion more each year if Britain had remained in the EU. Devastating self-immolation.

Man, just the names of these books fires a wave of nostalgia in me so powerful I'm almost in tears.
Out next week! The 30th anniversary edition of Jeff Noon's Pollen, with a new intro by Aliya Whiteley and a new afterword by Jeff.

Looking smart and cool alongside the 30th anniversary edition of Vurt with a new intro by @adamroberts.bsky.social and a new afterword by Jeff.

I just don’t understand why Labour is actively hostile towards universities. With the Tories, it was obvious: better educated people are less likely to vote Tory. But with Labour, it’s an act of self-harm as well as gross stupidity.

I suspect this tells you more about the weaknesses of survey research for finding out about things people don't really understand than it does about people's moral outlook.

Every time a journalist writes “Labour” instead of “the government” they reveal an awful lot about themselves.

This is gorgeous. Really good example of how well-crafted ambient can draw you in to notice hidden details.
