1) Jurisdiction
2) For Profit vs Non-Profit delivery
3) At Fault vs No-Fault harm in care compensation.

this is not good and entirely undemocratic. we have to get past the "pp would be worse" narrative and wake up to what carney is doing.

Althia Raj: Mark Carney is quietly giving sweeping new powers to his ministers
Sneaking a change of this magnitude into a 600-page bill that will not get parliamentary scrutiny raises a red flag, Althia Raj writes.

I understand the history of the Canada Health Act, and how powers are distributed between the feds and provinces.

But it doesn’t mean things can’t change if there was the will for it, and i believe Federal control is needed here.

There is no universality.

Please sign this petition.
Although this issue concerns all Canadians, Alberta and Ontario, in particular, are witnessing their education & healthcare institutions being neglected and dismantled.

Please consider signing the petition for Federal government oversight of Federal $$ given to the provinces

Please share

MY FELLOW CANADIANS

I humbly request you all go sign the petition for e-6982 which will help the federal government ensure funds provided to provincial governments for health and education are ACTUALLY being used appropriately.

@davidebybc.bsky.social how many years ago was it that some advocates raised health admin with the NDP?

First Adrian Dix, Horgan and then yourself?

There is no system accountability in Canada, it pisses me off.

We can do better.

This Alberta pediatrician captures something clinicians everywhere feel but rarely articulate this clearly:

Systems fail in patterned ways.
Families absorb the cost.
Governments sell “choice” while walking away from their duties.

Worth your time:
New CHW Perspective:

an Alberta pediatrician describes how structural gaps in care are shaping families' lives, and argues that the province’s new “dual-practice” model risks making things worse.

Could it be because many of them have lucrative government contracts?

Or because they have mergers and other regulatory business before Trump?

I’m sure they just thought a ballroom sounded nice…

Should there be an Our Commons Petition to call for a national citizens assembly on #cdnhealth care?

There is misinformation on the health system and no real mandate for change.

Do we solvent to rely on politicians to change the Canada Health Act? That’s likely what is coming.

Why we shouldn’t even joke about dismantling the CBC in Canada and might want to find a way to strengthen oversight.

Public oversight?
Pro Trump Oligarchs own most MSM orgs, so one gaffe by Biden was 24/7 news . An endless pile of gaffes, criminality, stupidity, lies, & dementia-addled rantings is treated as a minor slip. The Press as a Firewall against corruption & criminalization of the Presidency no longer exists.
