A reminder that none of this is true about AOC, it’s demonstrably and provably untrue, and it’s being pushed by the kind of C-list (ok, D-list?) celebs who flock to Trump and MAGA:
I actually had to check to make sure this wasn't fake, but it's very, embarrassingly, and frighteningly real. I know he and Miller like to shock people with posts like these but like, holy f*ck.
So. Much. Corruption.

He loves Canada. He once had a Canadian relative. And he knows Wayne Gretzky. And that big tough hockey player in the Nationals who is very very Russian.

Some context for the post-"Liberation Day" market bloodbath: This table shows the largest two-day S&P market drops in history, going back to 1945.
Past two days were worse than the days immediately following the Lehman failure.

Updated after market close. S&P 500 is down >15% since Trump took office. See chart for how this compares to same period to date under prior presidential terms.

The extent to which the business community has not listened over the last year to precisely what Donald Trump has said is astounding. Like this is the most consistent and foreseeable promise he made:

Greenland is not a failing business ripe to be scooped up by any vulture capitalists who happen by. It doesn't have a price tag; it's not a revenue-generation machine. Out of all the awfulness of the past two months, seeing framings like this from other journalists is among the most heartbreaking.

I was in a Hyundai auto dealership today. I eavesdropped on some fellow shoppers. Few seemed even slightly aware of what President Trump intends to do to the auto market on April 2. I wonder if any of us have adequately reckoned with the political shock to follow.
Serious question for the NYT: Do you ever look at these headlines and stories and think to yourselves, “How could we do this better, so that we’re actually seeking truth (which is our job), rather than being part of the problem (the problem being the imminent collapse of American democracy)”?
What Trump says is not news so please stop reporting it as such. It’s unlikely he’ll send a dime, or help of any kind, to Myanmar.
Me neither. I’ll miss Detroit though! 😢
“He also said Mr. Poilievre has ‘basic unlikability’”. Lol.

Another headline that contributes to the normalization of the authoritarianism happening right now in the United States.
