Holt leads polls while 67% of NB'ers slam health care performance. Gas dropped $0.12, but has the #1 inflation. Between the $1B gas plant, $835M deficit, and "A Path Home," it's a rocky ride to 2026.

NEW POLL : 70% of New Brunswickers say the government is doing a poor job handling the cost of living challenge, only 23% say good job.

That's actually better than the national average of 75% saying poor, 17% saying good.

NB has Canada's highest road death rate as funds bypass repairs. ERs are at 103% capacity, missing 66% of targets. Plus, a US charter claim on Machias Seal Island threatens sovereignty, and the buzz on "Speaker's Honey."

In a year since the US election NB borders saw 577,000 fewer Canadians coming back from the US. A 32% year over year reduction. But recent months have seen less of a decline in YoY traffic than the peak of the 51st state rhetoric.

In this extra edition of the NB Policast: AG Martin reports 66% wait too long in ERs, NB has Canada's deadliest roads, and the safety plan for Indigenous women is stalled, with only 10% of promised actions implemented.

The PC's are **still** talking about Justin Trudeau in the Leg this morning, calling him the Premier's "former boss." Yeesh. Time to retire that barb, it's getting sad.

On this week's NB Policast:

Holt’s gas tax cut slammed in reverse. The holidays are a tough time for Lepreau. 3 ministers do Spiderman meme regarding ALC patients. NB Liquor dragged for soulless AI ad. And, covered bridges are a bridge too far for DTI.

Update: Finally, a simple clear answer on the question of school bus breakdowns.
November 21, 2025 at 5:35 PM
Listening to all officials speak about school bus breakdowns... I'm not sure why it's so difficult to answer the damn question.

If a bus full of children breaks down on the side of the road, is there a plan to go get those kids? If the answer is "no," that's the wrong answer.

Shame on Danielle Smith. 🧵

Remember: the only reason she needs the notwithstanding clause is because her pronoun law violates the Charter rights of trans students. In other words, they are illegal without her using this loophole.

Whoa whoa whoa... Savoie starts off Question Period with a drive-by smear of the Premier. He said with no evidence that she's using gov't $ to promote one of her own businesses. Holt replied she had 0% ownership in said company. Savoie had nothing to the contrary. 🤦

Do better Glen.
