Just an FYI if you do keep me around: about 90% of my skeetage is an uneven mix of @psp.bsky.social promotion, thoughts on film/music/pop culture, reactionary posts about politics, & the occasional pro wrestling take, so apologies in advance!

The "Outrage Industrial Complex" is pushing culture war nonsense on them all day, every day anymore ('South Park', Cracker Barrel, 'SUPERMAN', Jimmy Kimmel, now Bad Bunny). I legit don't know how those in the rightwing bubble don't have severe PTSD from fighting a war that never ends.

Cardinals fans have joked that their stadium got ‘cursed’ a few weeks ago (IYKYK). I laughed it off, thinking “yeah, but they play the Titans soon; that’ll break the streak.”

Aaand then that TD call got reversed, & the lousy Titans—down by 15 in the 4th—came back & beat ‘em.

Reasons I'm pretty stoked to return to #FantasticFest this year: 1) #ShelbyOaks' U.S. premiere; 2) to see me @psp.bsky.social crew (first time we'll ALL be in the same spot in a hot minute); & 3) to finally put names to faces on some of yous who I've only interacted with on socials & our podcasts.

What Robert Redford contributed to American films via Sundance is genuinely immeasurable. He was also an extraordinarily talented director--Ordinary People and Quiz Show are two of the best American studio movies of their eras--and an actor who somehow wore his incredible charisma almost shyly. RIP.

I’d love a crack at a ‘Max Headroom’ reboot series. About a singular media company controlling all info, it was super prescient, predicting stuff like deepfakes & A.I. reliance. I have a spin that’d keep the cyberpunk aesthetic & would totally play today… or (*ahem*) “20 minutes into the future.”
