Wolstanton Marsh, 1975-2004.
This is where I witnessed the transformation of a cat from a common creature of flesh and blood into an archetypal feline form.
I also used to come down here with a bottle of Merrydown cider to read The Heart Sutra but I had no idea what it was going on about.

The Star Tavern, Belgravia, at the head of a mews just around the corner from Dion Fortune’s former temple. A good Fuller’s pub with interesting stained glass style windows. I’m told that it’s haunted by a ghost known as The Man in Beige.

Assorted Egyptian gods, priests, offerings and tombs, three for the price of two at the British Museum.
Do you think Aleister Crowley was inspired by that geezer in the snake hat?
Here's the best Crowley inspired 'song' I know of: sheffpatgrp.bandcamp.com/track/magick...

Designs for Julian Cope’s new hat and shield.
He is looking forward to wearing them the next time he heads out to that biker bar on the outskirts of Tamworth for a pint and a half of mild and bitter.

Strangers often comment on the quality of the brickwork and pointing to be found in the moderately well-to-do suburbs of #Sheffield
This is somewhere in the vicinity of Crookes. I won't reveal the street name to save the inhabitants from the attention of hordes of brick admiring tourists.

A photograph of Siouxsie and the Banshees, with Siouxsie looking very young and less stern than she usually did, although it appears that she might be mobilising her features to settle in a familiar scowl.

1. The Stonebreakers. The entrepreneurial realist Courbet.
2. Never Work. The tyrant Debord.

It's interesting that the English pronunciation of Debord sounds very like 'The Bore'.

Crosspool in the days when it was an interesting looking place, before it was fashioned into the dullest suburb in the whole city state of Sheffield.

‘I never wanted to sing into a vacuum’: Scottish folk pioneer Dick Gaughan’s fight for his lost music

Moved to Sheffield for teacher training, didn't vibe with housemates, spent time solo in pubs. Met cool group @ Grindstone, girl introduced me to NOS. Services amazing. Got involved, met Chris. Things got messy when stories came out. Felt betrayed. #LifeJourney #Sheffield #NOS #FaithAndBetrayal

We could have had this… Fun Palace dream, 1954/64. (We were never going to get this).
Instead, they imposed this… Nu-Stratford Nightmare, 2018 - date. (This was inevitable and is ongoing).

Is it to encourage reflection on the idea that 'schizophrenia' is a transformative state involving an attempt to cope with living in a sick society?
A marker of a recent diagnosis?
The work of a schoolchild who thinks that schizophrenia is fab and groovy and cool?

I have a fondness for flowers that hang on until late autumn but is this a sign of resilience or are they out of time latecomers destined for the oblivion of destruction?
There seemed to be a few of these about. Maybe they're renowned autumn blooms.
How would I know?
Am I a country bumpkin?

Leaves, 08/11/125.
There is an Icelandic indie band called leaves, formed in 2000 and still going, apparently.
I saw them play at The Boardwalk #Sheffield 16/08/25 and wrote (amongst other things):
"As the pig is to the Stannington farmer, so the elf is to the resident of Iceland..."
