Damn driving in the snow at night is crazy

I (who grew up where the air turns to soup in the summer) have never done it before and it is not fun driving a tiny 2WD Toyota with a shitty transmission through the mountains in darkness and ice

Oliver had a great time outside today! He almost caught a bird and hissed at a chipmunk.

I fell asleep watching a Star Trek movie last night (Generations), keeping my record of falling asleep every time I watch one with the TNG cast.

Generations was pretty good too! What I saw of it anyway. I don't know what about the TNG movies puts me to bed within 20 minutes.

Officially moved out of the DC area and I already miss it

I was essentially forced into resignation from my job today. Just 2 months left until I was eligible to become permanent, but they're no longer doing conversions for anyone. If I stay my job ends anyway; resigning now means I get paid through my contract and don't have to work.

I hate this.

I've been out of work with the flu all week. Came back to the office today because I feel way better and no longer have a fever, thought my cough was gone too but by the afternoon it has returned. I now sound like some sort of demonic skeleton which is less cool than it sounds.

My cat is old as hell and she had a scab that looked and felt terrible on her shoulder the other day. Took her to the vet, one week of medication later and she is all good! Still have no idea what caused the scab.

Please enjoy her post-ointment "fuck you, why did you put that shit on me" face.
