if you get an EV then you'll still be traffic. only you'll be electric traffic now.

what you _really_ want but just probably haven't come to terms with yet is less time in your life of being traffic, less being in a car.

this requires good, safe biking infrastructure as well as an e-bike for many.
280 million e-bikes are slashing oil demand far more than electric vehicles
E-bikes and scooters displace 4x as much demand for oil as all of the EVs in the world.

in other stupid ideas, I would like a massage chair for the mountain house. but don't wish to pay up for one

I think I'll therefore put a bid in on this that reflects that I'd need to rent a box truck to get it home probably + probably another to cart it up to the mountain house at a future date

Tesla Energy _really_ wants me to be aware of this site assessment

(for some leased Powerwall action since V2H looks not to be happening for either our ID.Buzz or the EV6)

A comparison set of data from yesterday. Low of 32F, high of 40F. Fairly dry. Added an ERV since the below but otherwise house remains similarly (well) insulated. Heat pump is just loading along with this load.

Finished Without Remorse. Tied up the loose ends nicely. A fun read on an un-fun set of background topics, of Vietnam, traitors of various flavors, and the sordid drug trade itself.

I should get an Escalade IQ after my EV6 GT lease is up. Simultaneously more and less stupid than my hankering after the Sierra EV AT4.

Either used for less future depreciation, or in LIDAR-equipped L4 autonomous state if that somehow comes to fruition…

we really need to get past our collective fear of moral hazard and just build subsidized supportive housing. a lot of it. and then some more.
Anderson Cooper: So it's more expensive to have a chronically homeless person living on the streets than it is to actually subsidize an apartment for them?

Answer: Yes, we’re paying more as taxpayers to walk past that person on the street and do nothing… #HousingFirst

I have a GermGuardian AC5109W air purifier, bought from Costco 13 months ago. It now has annoying bearing noises after being run nonstop in the laundry/kitty room over that time.

“The battery model number (HL-RP-S1304 or RP-1304) is printed on a label on the back or rear of the battery.”

My RadWagon 4 has a slightly different model number on the original pack so I’m assuming I’m safe.

random trivial gripe about Clancy's Without Remorse:

Sandy O'Toole was mentioned to have become a nurse practitioner in her background. yet she operates the whole story, as far as I can tell, as an RN, not an NP.

so have private companies just given up on the prospect of actually _selling_ SAE J3016 level 4 autonomous vehicles to the public?

because I'd like one pls.

In the Netherlands, over 40% of rail passengers arrive by bike. Since 2012 the country has invested €400m+ to add 200,000 new bike parking spaces at stations. The result? More rail use, fewer car trips, lower congestion and emissions, better public health - and far more efficient use of urban space.

this is probably not illegal, unlike so many of the dotard's actions that just fly across one's consciousness like a stream of filth, but it's still profoundly weird that a sitting president is trying to influence what movies are made by private studios
