There was a harp at contemplative Eucharist last night. It was so lovely and gentlest soothing my Godbeast’s crouch.

Three forms from one
A triptych of minimalist wolf illustrations made entirely from small black leaf-shaped strokes arranged to suggest fur and body form. There is no outline. Found some time on the bus to finish my little Critter’s badge set: 4 of 4.

As an older woman I love the older women in my life. There’s a tenderness in knowing and experience, we’ve taken a few life knocks. Yes we can teach those less experienced than us, but sometimes we don’t want to teach.

There’s a quiet understanding between us women. Even if it’s just perimenopause!

Up at 6am for morning Eucharist and a family breakfast followed. I find peace here.

Yesterday evening & night I went to an achingly beautiful & emptying out contemplative eucharist in the chapel & compline. I took time to marvel at the Gospel Book of St. Mark’s — & an icon lit by candlelight.

Attended Taize service: songs for creation.Included prayers for Animals. Chanting. Beautiful readings ending on “Laudate, Gentes Omnes” becoming lullaby-like in its soft tenderness. I cried a little. I ache to walk to the creator of all things as their Beloved Creature. I ache to become animal.
