A couple of recent pictures from my FED2 for the B&W Shitty Camera Challenge. Sometimes you need a goose, sometimes a shadow. FED2/Industar 26m/Fomapan 100. One of my favorite combinations. Details in the ALT Text.
A goose sitting on a table outside a hair salon in Siler City, North Carolina. It caught my eye and earned a photograph. Shot using Fomapan 100 using a FED2 camera, a FED Industar 26u. Winter shooting in North Carolina is interesting. Sometimes the light is as it was that day, bright with a clear sky, and little or no leaves on the trees. So silhouettes like this are possible. Black and white 'birds-eye view' of the lilies on the dining table. It's a bit hard to tell, but there are about four blooms out. I think they're all out now. A patterned tablecloth, a few coasters, and other odds and ends are scattered about. A black and white photo within a still-coloured Kodak Charmera border. In the black-and-white image, a spoon is sitting in an empty mug on a cafe table. In front of that (in the bottom left corner) is part of the Chuzhao viewfinder, and behind them are a couple of glasses of water. Behind the spoon handle is a single-serve teapot and a small plate containing slices for afternoon tea. The border contains the back view of my yellow G6 Thumb camera, showing the image in the "camera's" rear view screen. You can also see the camera viewfinder in the top left corner (I never use this - too small) and three of the five control buttons. There is a red, orange, yellow, and blue rainbow graphic stretching along the bottom of the border with "1987" superimposed on the bottom left and the date "2026 01 19" on the bottom right. Behind all that is a plain, pale background. Picture showing the table decorations at the cafe where my Trefoil Guild (think chronologically gifted Girl Guides/Scouts) had afternoon tea on Monday. In the bottom left of the photo (where the date is) is a piece of Mint slice on the corner of a plate, a ½ pint glass cream bottle with gravel and some kind of (bushy/feathery) grass, a table mat and a glass of water. There's a coffee cup sitting on the table next to one of the two Trefoil members in the background. The black and taupe silhouetted filter has been altered slightly to give the appearance of black and white. Photo of multiple cacti in bloom outside the cafe. Argosy ZK-SAE Merchant Enterprise (famous for travelling with the Kaikoura UFOs during December 1978, about 5 months after I was born) in the background. Shot on Sony Mavica 91 with variable IR filter set to 530nm, then converted in post to black and white and colours inverted.

Developed a roll of #Kentmere Pan 400 in #Caffenol that I shot on the #Holga. Liked this roll a lot more than the first I put through the camera. Helps that I finally taped it well enough to eliminate the major light leaks.
