POSTDOC: Mellon Fellowship, Wolf Humanities Center, Penn, 2026-27

Topic: Practice
wolfhumanities.upenn.edu/fellowships/...
The Wolf Humanities Center at the University of Pennsylvania is now accepting applications for its 2026–2027 Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowships in the Humanities on the general theme of Practice.

Research proposals from all humanistic disciplines and allied areas (e.g., anthropology, history of science) are eligible, except for educational curriculum building and the performing arts (scholars of performing arts are eligible). The fellowship is open to scholars in the humanities who received, or will receive, their PhD between May 2021 and August 2026. Preference will be given to candidates not yet in tenure track positions whose proposals are interdisciplinary and who would particularly benefit from and contribute to Penn's intellectual life.

The appointment is twelve months (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027) and carries a minimum stipend of $67,000 plus a $3000 research fund and discounted health insurance. Fellows teach one course during the year and collaborate on the planning of a symposium in addition to conducting their research.

For full fellowship guidelines, application instructions, and the Practice topic description: wolfhumanities.upenn.edu/postdoc. Please email Wolf Humanities Center Associate Director Sara Varney with questions.

Thanks!
It doesn't happen that often that one identifies a #manuscript #fragment as part of a volume for #CatherineofAragon in England
