I just checked. No morels in Colorado this time of year. Don't eat it.

Morels are primarily spring mushrooms, so this might be a false morel which wouldn't be edible.
I'll check for when they appear in Colorado.

You're making a case for him wanting out of Detroit. But, I don't think the Tigers are going to give him the Brinks truck full of $$$$ that he's looking for.

They look like little eggplants. They're beautiful!

Isn't everything on the internet always true?? 😂

Going deep into the woods and living off grid for a few days is highly underrated.

Happy Thanksgiving, Natalie!

That looks like a rainforest, Lora. Just beautifully lush.
And a very Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

Good work, Uwe. You'll get to do it a few more times before winter. 😁

They're usually offered in spring and summer so you'll find more stuff. I did take mushroom classes in September/October a few years ago.
I found them using Google. If you're near someone who sells native plants, they might know.

Take a foraging class or 2. They're fun! You walk around in the woods for hours finding cool things to eat.

These are some I've found way in the woods in Vermont. The stems are tough, so you cut and discard. I've never found one in eastern MA or NH.

I could be wrong. 😂🤣

I believe that's a Morchella, a type of Morel. Are you in New England?

Can you get a picture of the underside of that for me?

I forgot about this, I also use zinc as soon as I feel any symptoms. 2 tabs twice a day for a few days. Again, I've done this for years.
