I remember getting this the first time and even having a conversation with the person bc I was genuinely excited to offer creative support. When they started getting very secretive about the details and ignoring me I realized it's a dumb scam.
Mimicking a person with creative passion is so evil

Yeah, my best pie was made out of unidentified juice apples mom’s coworker gave her that had brown spots on them that I had to cut out. I think the fact that they already started to gain this signature apple “I taste ever so slightly like alcohol bc I am about to go bad” gave the pie a great taste

In this case it is the tsundere kind of enjoyment, bc while it is annoyed being stared at, it’s kinda implied the onlooker likes the creature, so it goes kind of like “this affection out of nowhere makes me deal with being liked now, but I can’t show that I take the compliment” and the tail wags

Ah, you can also just use bread crumbs for soaking up the juice, works even better than flour.
Apple pie is, in general, a “recycling dish” for me where it’s an opportunity to use soon-to-spoil apples, dry bread or that lonely stick of butter sitting in the fridge and looking at you longingly.

I like using mealy apples for pie, bc they get baked through fairly quickly (Braeburn, McIntosh but also just any apple close to spoiling). If you know your apples are gonna piss a lot of juice you can add some flour at the bottom to soak up the apple piss. As for stripes I kind of eyeball it? idk

Other than that it is a representative of a hermaphrodite species that has evolved from psychically active squids not really much. I only have a working name for the species - psychosquids - and that they are senior members of the galactic community. Also they can read thoughts and emotions.
