I have been doing these #wellness checks for some time in my discord server support group for disabled and chronically ill pagans & witches. With how difficult things are right now for so many, I felt it would be of benefit to others.

Weekly Wellness Checks In times of duress, it is extra important to take the time to check in with yourself, and honestly assess how you are doing. This helps with balancing self-care needs, and also with giving yourself credit for what you accomplish even when it feels like you have accomplished nothing. To that end, on different days of the week I post prompts to help others find voice for their needs, joys, and victories, and so community can provide support. Remember! The deliberate double entandre is for anything and everything you have made, or made it through, during the prior week. This is a way to celebrate victories and accomplishments, big or small or seemingly inconsequential, be it meeting a major life goal, remembering your medication, making it through the work week, creating or working on a piece of art, making yourself a sandwich, making it out of bed when it all feels like too much, or anything else. This prompt looks for the honest answer to the question, “How have you been?” Good, bad, neutral, or complicated, it all matters. By honestly checking in with yourself, you can adjust your activities, engage in needed self-care, and hopefully avoid or recover from burnout and despair. Living is hard, but dying would be a pity. Western cultures tell us that we are not allowed to be happy when things are bad, or we are not giving the bad things the gravity they deserve. The reality is that the worse things are, the more important it is to find fun and joy and happiness, no matter how trivial or fleeting. Pattern testing matters. From my pixel painting with a lovely gradient, to floss cross, two of the colors in the patterned gradient needed to be swapped.
