Huge huge praise for having 2d fallback. I think spatialized audio could be cool, Arc leans in that direction but i still think it’s not it. We just don’t have access to the unity sound mixer in a meaningful way yet

Phase cancellation is a bitch, it eats up the bass frequencies the most, idk many people who have been able to isolate bass frequencies so it doesn't canceled out. There's a lack of control in the current implementation of VRC unity audio. The fix would be 2d or mono bass, spatialize everything else

Reflecting back, echoing the post was in bad taste. I was piggybacking ducks remarks to PSA about 2d audio toggles and talk on my feelings of 3d audio, not to bad mouth the world. But that's not an excuse I totally see now how this would be taken as a dig on the world, that's a huge my bad.

3d audio is almost always ass, please add a 2d toggle if you really want to do it

I wonder if there's a sunk cost fallacy in why we end up with so many horror vr games. "we tried to make a game, but it ended up being too spooky, but we already spent so much on development that we leaned in". Is horror the crab evolution of VR? does it always end up being horror?

It’s the lowest hanging fruit to make someone feel something in a VR game. Like no shit you’re surrounded by the environment that you can’t look away from. It’s cheap. Make a game that will make me feel literally anything else.
