Dumb thing I'm a little upset about today: the fact that we consistently reference "ask not what your Country can do for you, ask what you can do for your Country" as profound wisdom. If you just get from that "stay politically involved" okay sure... but our Country SHOULD be doing a lot more for us
Is he also $10 billion richer thanks to firing all those people, or was that just an evil bonus?
Donnie is Marie Antoinette without the charm. Or tact. Or brain cells.
Ok, so are we in a media blackout from the rest of the World, or is the rest of the World happy to let our president commit International crimes against humanity? Because I've not heard about any moves by World leaders, but again that could be a "State controlling the media" situation, so....
There are a lot of things to be legit angry about in my Country currently. A thing that I'm illegitimately angry about is that my 3DS has decided to stop recognizing cartridges, or refusing to load their data when it does recognize one. Yes this thing is 10 years old, still angry it's not working.
My name is Ozymandias, king of kings. And you're watching the Disney Channel!

All the people involved in blowing up the boats, from the person pressing the button up to every person that passes down the order, are committing international crimes. The U.S. government is far too corrupt to do anything about it, the International Community will have to step in. This has to stop.
Fishing for sport alone, aka catch and release, is gross to me for sure. Fishing for food, I'm okay with. I don't have any interest in doing it, & I picture myself being bored if I were to try fishing, BUT I haven't tried so I won't pass full judgment on that side of things.
I'm in these photos and I don't like it. ... But also I would like some more.
This is a person that enjoys losing, clearly. I mean I guess we could have surmised that when she made a career out of tie-ing for 5th.
No no, you see we all misunderstood, he was saying he would make us feel like grocery prices were cheaper. By comparison. To what they are during his presidency.
Really a lot of unspoken words we missed.
Pros & cons of this weekend:

Pro: got the covid vaccine

Con: combining Covid & flu vaccines takes me out of commission for a day (had a temp of 99.9 at one point)

Pro: watched several episodes of Star Trek: TOS so I could stay ahead of @greatesttrek.com's coverage.
It's that tour life. I've been to all 20.
And if the coin lands on an edge? That's sleepy-time.
I'm mysteriously being followed by a lot more people suddenly. My best guess is y'all are either bots or government spies (or both!), but nonetheless welcome to my stream of conscious thoughts (and occasional self-advertisements)!
Hey @greatesttrek.com, are you going to do an episode covering "Khan!!!"? Maybe even an interview episode with playwright & former MaxFun podcaster @brentalfloss.bsky.social? Just curious.
Do you know how many Trekkie Broadway nerds there must be who haven't even heard of us?!
As I will be otherwise occupied tomorrow (thanks capitalism), let me just state for the record that I stand against fascism & I cheer for those standing against "kings".
I do believe you mean "Mo-tember".
Listen, Sam, if you don't want your players to mutiny, then assign an actual scoring system for the game! (I am joking, of course, I think nonsensical scoring for fun silly games just makes sense)
The rest of the World will step in at some point, right? There is no question that our monster-in-chief is committing International crimes. Crimes for which there are laws that fit (unlike Kevin Uxbridge's actions).
The President is announcing more extrajudicial killings today.

A reminder that the administration has provided no limiting principles and these killings are completely untethered from the law (there was no "armed attack," there's no "armed conflict," and these aren't "unlawful combatants").
I'm so curious as to what the teacher THOUGHT any of the kids would get out of this. Or was this some kind of test, like "does anyone actually look at my homework assignments, or do they all just ignore them?"
I truly don't understand why Lesley didn't get the star baker for pastry week. And I like Jasmine, she's clearly a front-runner. BUT the judges didn't seem to like her showstopper, whereas Lesley seemed to have a really good weekend overall.
And to be clear, this took place 15 years ago. I still am not over the "loss".
Bought a set of kumquats at a Trader Joes early in the morning right before we hit the road from Pennsylvania to Montana. Ate 1 once we were on the freeway, discovered that underneath the top layer, the kumquats were all moldy. I'm still mad, not at the loss of money, but the loss of my "breakfast".
