When i see ppl struggling to understand that the only consent that matters in kinky erotica is between you and your decision to look at it or not, i want to direct them to the definition of a scene in a BDSM context.

Think of erotica as a play scene an artist has created and is sharing.

What is a Scene in BDSM?

In BDSM, a "scene" refers to a specific period of time where participants engage in consensual kinky activities. This can range from bondage and discipline to dominance and submission, and even sadism and masochism. A scene typically has a defined beginning and end, with clear boundaries and negotiated activities.

What is a scene and, as a dominant, how do I create one?

The term 'scene' refers to a planned BDSM encounter or activity which may or may not include sexual activities. You may also hear it referred to as a "play session". Many scenes are unplanned and the dominant and submissive find their way through it by knowing each other's kinks, limits, and play style. They can be casual, comfortable, and maybe informal.

Alternatively, you might want to plan a formal scripted scene for a special occasion, maybe you're getting started so you prefer to prepare beforehand, or perhaps you just prefer some structure.

When planning as a beginner, I would recommend you treat BDSM scenes like a 3-act play:

Act 1 - Engage the audience (foreplay... arousal... anticipation)

Act 2 - Conflict (Your prime activity)

Act 3 - Climax, Resolution (Release... if sex is happening and you want it to be the climax, it goes here)

Denouement - The tying up of loose ends (Cleanup, Aftercare)

If you want to drive a scene but feel uncertain about how to create one, leverage this 3-act structure.
Use foreplay to build arousal, pick one kinky thing to do, and then finish with something you both enjoy (like kinky sex as one possible example). As you build experience, you can leave this 3-act concept behind and branch out to find your own style.

Here is an example of a scene written for my submissive:

Act 1 - Submissive's hands are bound and blindfolded. The sub is slowly stripped. The sub's skin is touched lightly to achieve an arousal state. Lots of slow teasing. (etc etc)

Act 2 - The submissive is bound. The dominant edges the submissive until the submissive begs for release

Act 3 - Kinky sex happens

"The Scene" is the fantasy within a CNC framework.

Some fictional works tell a story depicting two (or more) characters following the process of doing CNC kink, just as they would in real life: Consent discussion, Kink negotiation, “The Scene", and Aftercare.

Some fictional works focus on “The Scene only. A framing device is not required, as the fantasy is contained fully within the story. This lets the reader engage in the kink the same way as if they were engaging in “The Scene" portion of the CNC play.

I loved this site and the feeling of community, it has been a great safe haven after so many other places like Tumblr and Twitter have pushed us
away.
Unfortunately, with recent policy changes regarding the banning of some NSFW content, I'm afraid Bluesky is headed down the same path.
A ton of users, including myself, believe your recent policy changes about fictional content is ridiculous and unfair. You cannot, in good faith, judge a fictional character's level of consent because fictional characters are fake and cannot give consent. Drawings are not real!
We want to be heard, but we have been deliberately ignored when we gave feedback.
Please. Don't censor us. We're censored enough.
