Scary things and clothes and drawings and possums. Paintings and monsters and faces with black eyes and no voice. Sometimes a plushie to cuddle with, and sometimes one that bites. A river-bottom with terrible weather. Many things. Many things.

@timmiller.bsky.social takes on how Fox News ran with a totally fake story—racist AI videos pretending to be real “Black women”—and then quietly changed the headline instead of admitting they make a mistake.

Re-Watching Slither (2006)!

Whenever someone finds a disgusting pulsating object in the woods, their first instinct is to touch it, or at the very least to poke it with a sharp stick! I don't know if it is in our nature, but we are kind of drawn to the gross & disgusting, which explains reality TV.

I'm shaking almost too hard to type. I entered SLC airport and heard screams and cries for help. I could see people gathered around, watching. I sped over to discover this woman face down on the floor, four grown men pushing her down, while she cried "HELP ME" and pled for her child.
It has something so familiar about it, but still it manages to be its own lovely creature.

This video from Portland is a metaphor for what is going on in America. ICE trying so hard to get Americans to cross a line and if they don't, dragging them across the line and violently attacking.

most of the last decade of my career was a frantic effort to warn as many people as possible about the dangers i saw coming in the near future

now that all the stuff i saw coming is here, i dunno what to do other than maybe start a Warhammer 40k podcast
The 2019 "Color Out of Space" adaptation with Nicholas Cage has a deeply upsetting scene that seems close enough to the horror in "Together," and it was so disturbing that I averted my eyes until it was over. If that makes up the whole movie, I might have to tap out in shame
