Alas! Must it ever be so? Do we stand in our own light, wherever we go, And fight our own shadows forever?

A strange man into strange things. Always looking to learn and move forward.
#HORRORWATCH A little confused. Are we watching The Trail, the western about the Oregon Trail, or The Trail, that is about an alien encounter in the Alps? It appears only the Oregon Trail one is free on either Amazon or Tubi.

MLK Jr. said America suffers not just from "the vitriolic words and actions of the bad people but for the appalling silence of the good people."

Remember this.

If your rep voted for this, primary them
The House voted 341 to 79 to fund Trump's war-mongering foreign policy agenda.

Only 57 Democrats voted NO.

Just remember, if we take action against Greenland, no matter what certain people believe, we will be the bad guys in that scenario. Just remember any oaths you've taken to the Constitution and uphold those to the letter.

One good thing that 45-47 has done is make sure that I never trust the government again. It's amazing seeing how much bullshit every department is spewing in official announcements thanks to this fascist administration.

Trump is over here like the big dumb parade balloon, blocking our view of the real problems with his buffoonery. RFK and Oz are potentially going to cost an unknown number of kids their lives with their gender affirming care actions.

Reading about Appalachian folkways brings back a lot of memories of my childhood. I wish I'd paid more attention when I had the chance to discuss these things with my family.

Donald Trump is objectively one of the worst humans to have ever poisoned the planet.

Good people don't support him.

They simply don't.

His supporters need to be rejected by decent human beings.

I know that many of us are older and traditionally older people have a hard time adapting to the nuances of the new. I have spent a lot of time trying to educate myself on the new millennial morality that exists. I try to be an ally and if necessary at least do no harm.

"The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel" is still one of my favorite opening lines to any book ever.

I sit here reading Danse Macabre by Stephen King, and he is writing about a period of mass memory and empathy following the Kennedy assassination, and I have to remember he was writing those words almost 20 years to the day before the events of September 11th.
