Believe you're the exception to the rule of two Big Things?

It's likely self-deception.

Check with your inner circle and family—they'll let you know if something's slipping.
You can have two Big Things, but not three
No you can’t “have it all.” You can have two things, but not three.

Strong agree

Personally, sometimes

Not using the word “push” frees me up enough to actually “push” through
Getting started is hard.

Sticking with it is hard.

Finishing is hard.

But all require different intention and emotion and action to push through its brand of “hard.”

Another way things are flipped for (Gen)AI is that traditionally near zero marginal costs per usage in software no longer applies in GenAI

So pricing models such as unlimited usage and charging by seats are probably unsustainable

Great piece and early to recognize the playbook is old
Traditionally an engineering founder finds it easy to build the product, but hard to market.

With AI getting users is easy (though hard to make them stay), but almost impossible to make the software work in practice (beyond a demo).

It’s flipped, like many things with AI.
AI startups require new strategies: This time it’s actually different
The typical dynamics between startups and incumbents do not apply in AI as they did in previous technology revolutions like mobile and the Internet. Ignore this at your peril.

The book Mathematica by @davidbessis.bsky.social is ostensibly abt maths but is really about _understanding_

Genuine understanding on any topic feels like intuition. It’s the music in one’s head. Not music notes on paper

A lesson I learn 2 weeks before reading this book

Right book at right time
