I'm a cyclist and I strongly endorse this.

Whatever the location, as a bike we must travel at the speed of the slowest nearby person. If they're walking, you need to roll at walking speed (preferably with 1 foot unclipped). If you want to ride at car speeds, you need to be on the road with cars.
Step 1 is recognize that almost every safety complaint leveled at ebikes applies equally to conventional bikes that are ridden too fast in the wrong places. Step 2 is to create a clear divide and understanding with the public about the difference between ebikes and emotos.

Celebs create vitamin or filtered water brands when they make it big.

I've not made it big and will not be doing that. I will be releasing a THC+CBD Chamomile Latte. I call it Chill AF.

I will not be taking questions and thank you for attending my TED Talk.

Unpopular opinion: app scheduled jobs should not be tightly coupled to the app DB.

Side note, I wrote my own that takes the file name of the scheduled job and creates a copy of the filename with .RAN on the end. In that text file the timestamp last ran is saved. DB & infra independent...

I've got to admit of it were my product, I'd push further with the research to try changing it so people are less depressed/anxious after using my product. But that's also why I'm fundamentally unable to be a billionaire.
Meta halted internal research that purportedly showed (young) people who stopped using Facebook became less depressed and anxious, according to an unredacted legal filing released on Friday. www.cnbc.com/2025/11/23/m...

Just saw a TV show that said movibg from New York to California was "a big leap of faith". I moved from Vancouver to Wales and I can say, it's not a bit leap at all. It's false that it's big and scary to move, it's challenging with kids but I encourage people to move, especially to a small town.

@plaidcymru.bsky.social I have a "reform friend" who I have beers with every Thurs in an effort to expand my horizons.
I learned last night that reform supporters are being fed Facebook slop "muslims are coming to this country to take up arms and create a Sharia Law political party".

@oplopanax.ca it just occurred to me, do you have any RCMP contacts involved in SAR or missing people?

I'm desperately trying to get real world feedback, and maybe even usage, on missingperson.app

@theregoescarly.bsky.social might like this. Maybe this is a Christmas present we could send you since you were kind enough to host Jen in Budapest.

OMG!!! I just noticed Firefox Android has Save as PDF. I've previously installed other apps to accomplish this because I often want to save good content for future reference. I can now easily do what I want with just 2 taps!!!

Franklin (cat) just unlocked and made a call with my phone. Fortunately I saw the light of the screen and hung up before it connected.

I heard potatoes cause nervous ticks and other mental and physical maladies. I'm against this and will base an entire political campaign on it.

I love how everyone is saying Twitter isn't working because CloudFlare is down.
No, Twitter hasn't been working for a long time, probably since about the Arab Spring.

I wonder if current Republicans grew up with the 90's animated Batman? They should go back and watch it.

Hearing from your constituents/voters/citizens: always a waste of time for elected officials.
Wow, what a cynical thing for our mayor to say after all the Vancouverites came together to voice concerns over his budget

I cannot wait for this to happen. 1 or 2 things is going to happen:
1.) they're full of it and won't actually leave.
2.) they do leave and everyone is happy about NYC being so much nicer.

Will be launching a formal complaint against Peter at the CRA, agent ...022W...
He asked for my fathers birthdate and I said Nov 4th. I then said "oh shoot, it's April 11th, my mother's birthdate is Nov and I always get the month/day mixed up". Apparently that was enough to invalidate my call.

I have to be clear, up-front, and honest. As much as I'm an AI naysayer and pretty negative on the whole topic. I am working on an AI startup idea that I think leverages LLMs properly, locally, and at a smaller scale where the environmental impact is more justifiable.
