Night train back to Austria is horribly delayed, but warm and cosy ... best place to prepare lectures, work on proposals, ... let's see when we depart Nürnberg (train shunters should have arrived just now to merge it with the one from Amsterdam)

It is always thrilling to come back to a place where one has spent quite some years of a life, even just for a day. Moin, Hamburg, and hello DESY.

Indeed an important summary of the inputs to the strategy. The national inputs can still be updated, and we will hold further discussions and spark initiatives in Austria on the 3rd of November.
The "Physics Briefing Book: Input for the 2026 update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics" is out. A summary of the 266 inputs to the strategy. All ambitions for future High-Energy Physics research are described here.

On the way to visit Thomas Becher and his group ay Bern, to discuss about evolution and resumption in colour space and how the QCD and SCET approaches might relate.

Thanks a lot everyone for contributing to the programme, this has been a great success @agbuckley.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy @jonbutterworth.bsky.social and many others

MIAPbP was a great success, but quite exhausting after four weeks. To relax I'm now on to one of my favorite little getaways with some colleagues from Uni Wien ... guess how we travel back after visiting Bratislava 😉

I'm traveling a lot by train these days. And dining cars are really nice especially in the evenings and mornings. Love to work, think, and yes: have dinner there. The most beautiful ones of OeBB have essentially been phased out for modern "Bistros", good on average, but mostly dysfunctional.

First week of our workshop on event generators at colliders and beyond colliders at MIAPbP is well underway. Today we have Rainer Fries talking about hadronization in heavy ion collisions with Jetscape.

As fresh, traditional, and good as it can possibly get ... thanks bellsfishshop.co.uk for still being an undebatable reference when it comes to Fish & Chips. Let alone all science and what not here at Durham, this was worth the trip alone 😉

Coming back for a visit after way too long ... looking forward to a good week of discussions on leveraging Quantum Computing paradigms (possibly)

Finally, interesting discussions start to take place at #ESPP open symposium. It's crucial to highlight the importance of understanding and predicting complex final states at colliders, including hadronization, and to also roll out this programme to electroweak final states.

This account is now active. For the next couple of days, we'll post recent #CMSPaper and #CMSPAS from the last couple of months. Afterwards, it will post the latest results from @cmsexperiment.bsky.social just like x.com/cmspapers and mastodon.social/@cmspapers.

Week two was a success, as well. We had many interesting discussions about super leading logarithms, evolution in full colour, hidden regions and the restoration of factorisation.
We had a very successful first week at the MITP programme at @unimainz.bsky.social on factorization and evolution in full colour. Few talks, many discussions and new connections. Thanks for providing such a great environment.

We are starting to dissect the cluster hadronization model from a new point of view: arxiv.org/abs/2505.14542 is first in a series of work to come.
Phenomenological constraints of the building blocks of the cluster hadronization model
We introduce building blocks for the cluster hadronization model in light of a new structure, focusing on cluster fission and cluster decay. We propose theoretically motivated matrix elements for clus...

I am starting into the FCC week in my hometown of Vienna. I'm representing @uni-graz.at in the collaboration board, and I'm also part of the Scientific Program Comittee. Looking forward to many discussions around the European Strategy Update as the coordinator of the Austrian input to the strategy.

A very successful first day of our little workshop on fragmentation and hadronization, organized with @axelmaas.bsky.social , kindly hosted by @hephy.bsky.social at Vienna. We will continue to discuss scattering on the lattice tomorrow, which I'm very excited about.

First time in Budapest today. Giving a seminar on colour evolution and new perspectives for hadronization. But mainly, I'm here to continue building a network for the CVolver project.
