one of my favorite parts of columbo is seeing 70s celebrities- leonard nimoy, dick van dyke, johnny cash - play devious murderers
watching columbo as i work, and making a mental note- never commit a murder in front of a parrot

i am still in love with this piece from @pradaldi.bsky.social - there's nothing like interspecies communication
Got my copy of @simonroy.bsky.social's last comic, and my illustration is in excellent company in the pin-up gallery.

The crown jewel of Karazad- the vault of the Great Transformer. Equal parts temple and warehouse, where the laboring dead are stored and evil magics are worked. Built during the rule of the (now slain and incinerated) Demiurge, necromancer king of the highlands.

A man-amplifier design for "Citizen one", designed with a bit more of a 20th century vibe to differentiate it from the other planets of the grobusverse - but those pesky hydraulics and other greeble were too obnoxious to draw a million times, and as such got CUT from the comic for a simpler design

Stumbled across a 3-page autobio comic online that Raina Telgemeier had made as a student. It had never occurred to me that one could make standalone short b&w autobio comics! I wrote and drew one that same day, did another longer one a few days later, and within a month knew it was my vocation.

Strap yourselves in, this story is epic and macabre, with a perfect ending.
On May 11, 1950, while working on the Rawlins National Bank in Wyoming, a construction crew unearthed a whiskey barrel that contained a human skeleton with its skull cap sawed off & an odd pair of shoes. Dr. Lillian Heath, now in her 80s, was asked if she knew anything about it...🧵

What is Rapture of the Deep about, I hear you ask? Hector's a cave diver. His older brother Sergio thinks he shouldn't be a cave diver. Hector's girlfriend Serena is torn between enabling and discouraging him. Gorillas do not feature prominently in the comic.
