There was a guy in Dunelm yesterday hefting a cast iron pan in his hand, gently hitting it against his head. Then he would swing it in an over arm fashion as if striking someone.

My dad has recovered his grandfather's WW1 medals recently. No idea how they came to leave the family as his dad and uncle wouldn't have let them go, but our line of WW1 & WW2 medals is now back together.

Back from a break in Greece and found that even the top servers were on less than €6 an hour.
It's a stark reminder of why people would risk everything to come here for the chance of a better life, not just for themselves but for their families.

Wife's colleagues' husband (MEWP driver) was hired by the council to remove flags from places they shouldn't be (lamp posts, etc). 3 solid weeks of work done in mid Somerset at taxpayer expense.
Work now pulled due to the abuse the guy got for doing his job. It wasn't safe 1/2
