Irvine continued to spiral, and Lu picked up on his speech slurring, assumed he would just rant himself to sleep, so she left him to his devices.

"I'll check in on you later, dude. You really shouldn't get yourself worked up after that beating. Get some rest, I'll make sure they don't bother you."

Sure, he's a rookie spellcaster, but he never uses what little void magic he knows on them, because he'd rather get on their good graces.

They don't share the sentiment though. He walks around, arms stained from all the botched void magic he's been practicing.
