also while i'm on the topic of AI, i remember i know someone in the yume space who used to commission artists regularly but recently just turned to AI instead, likely after one too many incidents of ghosting. sigh
like both AI image gen & those roleplay chatbots too 😬

i remember saying a few days ago that genAI, especially image generation, is progressing at such a fast rate that the tells we usually have for AI art like "garbled text" or "excess fingers" won't cut it anymore

atp, it's simply not enough to know AI-generated content has six fingers or unnatural mouth movement or clipping hair. they make AI content out of Everything. even the cute animal video no one would suspect, tugging at people's heartstrings, could be AI. it's too hard to trust anything in good faith
