The text reads as follows: Virubi's Eye Syndrome (VES) (from latin 'vir' man and 'rubrum' red), also referred to as Virubism, is a genetic disorder of unknown origin.
The first Virubi were discovered in Dekombria in [redacted]. Scientists commonly referred to the disorder as Millenial Boy Syndrome or Cursed Eye Syndrome, named after a regional myth, in which boys with unusual eyes brought doom over the locals. The official name Virubi's Eye Syndrome was issued [redacted] by the Dekombrian health department.
They symptoms of VES vary significantly from person to person.
Every Virubis is born with deep red eyes. Unlike people with albinism, Virubi are neither sensitive towards light, nor suffer from impaired vision. About every second Virubis possess supernatural powers, ranging from metal bending to fast self-healing and many more. Those powers usually don't show up until early puberty and emerge during a short but painful fever convulsion.
