I’m happy for Salah that he got an assist and so can pretend he can still contribute at this level, but I really hope that was his last game for the club.

Surely Sky have a responsibility to not let Merson, who is clearly severely mentally unwell, expose himself to public humiliation by letting him speak on tv. He should be going to Alton Towers with his carer. Not speaking gibberish on live tv!

The best thing for me about this whole Salah Fiasco is the amount of people (mainly ex-players) who are outing themselves as dickheads by siding with Salah.
Not that it’s news that Merson is a sorry excuse for a human.

The best thing for me about this whole Salah Fiasco is the amount of people (mainly ex-players) who are outing themselves as dickheads by siding with Salah.

Was great to see that the teams response to the whole Salah carry on was to come together as a team and play for each other and for the manager.
Salah may not have a relationship with Slot but that performance shows that the rest of the team are still on good terms with the manager.

That was just what we needed! Played as a team, worked hard, made good decisions, managed to find quite a bit of space and good interplay going forward. Made a few good chances. Given how good inter are defensively we did very well to win that.

It’s so obvious that Shearer has somebody writing a script for him when he’s on match of the day. Cos in the studio he tends to say quite sensible stuff… but when he’s doing live commentary he talks absolute shite!

The only thing Slot has ‘done wrong’ with Salah is playing him as much as he has. But he clearly played him so much so that when he did drop him there was abundant evidence that it was the right decision. Even then there’s still fans questioning it. Salah has been awful for 9+ months! Needs selling

Salah would be completely out of order regardless. But makes it far worse that he’s paid £20 million a year & has been our biggest liability all season (although Konate is a close 2nd).

Can’t believe there’s fans backing Salah! He said he doesn’t have to fight for his place that he deserves to start based on what’s he’s already done. If it worked like that our starting midfield & attack would be Barnes, Fowler, Rush, McManaman, Gerrard. & Sounesss every week. Sell him Good Riddance

First 70 was one of our best displays of the season IMO. Composed, stingy, some nice football, individuals looking more confident. Then Konate Konate’d and it was 25 mins of largely brainless basketball.
