Who do you call for this kind of disaster... The Red Cross or FEMA?

Here we see the 21st century's version of widow's weeds… for today's perpetual performative pious professional public widow who wants to mourn her recently deceased husband while simultaneously trying to hook her next mate.

It may not be as big as the "Who shot JR?" season finale cliffhanger that made "Dallas" a ratings juggernaut back in 1980, but this week's "Who pooped in the shower?" mystery on "Below Deck Mediterranean" certainly has people playing the role of amateur sleuth. Anyone fancy a game of Poo Clue?

Just as Coca-Cola ads can be credited for popularizing the image of Santa Claus that we see most frequently today, my favorite illustrator, Joseph Christian Leyendecker (1874-1951), popularized the Baby New Year on multiple covers of The Saturday Evening Post, primarily in the 1920s.

An almost accurate portrayal of Mike Johnson and other Republican legislators on Capitol Hill working hard for the American people, except for one major difference... This guy actually showed up to "work".

Before her husband died, I didn't know that Erika Kirk existed, and I really miss those days. As famous as her husband was, it was relatively rare that I ever had to endure exposure to posts about some awful thing that he'd said… Now I see HER EVERY DAMNED DAY. I am enjoying this new trend, though.

Today is the feast day of St. Stephen, traditionally venerated as the protomartyr or first martyr of Christianity.

This didn't happen, but from what I just read, the "peace president" did bomb Nigeria. If the targets were truly ISIS, then I'm fine with that, but it does seem that the people who voted for him because they supposedly care so much about peace should realize how ironic their choice was.

Good old Saint Nick has got a LOT of nerve for being a self-designated arbiter of what's "naughty" and what's "nice".

FUN FACT: The climactic scenes of the most notorious "Dynasty" season finale (i.e. the Moldavian wedding massacre in 1985) were filmed in the room where silent film star Harold Lloyd always set up his enormous Christmas tree each year in his estate, known as Greenacres, in Beverly Hills.
