i feel like the world sleeps on giants who are just, like. deeply pathetic? giants with short tempers and egos as enormous as they are but their self worth and their confidence and even their happiness depending entirely on the little people they find so below them. 🧵

I think the thing that holds me back from posting more is that my more suggestive ideas feel like… hard to bring up publicly? Feels like something to keep close and intimate, not to toss out to the world… and any stories I write are too long for these posts

That was what I meant, how even if we can see repeated trends, the reason why it’s done can vary based on the individual, the culture, etc., and it’s kinda impossible to just say “prehistoric culture” bc of how vast it is

It’s so varied and complex and it always feels like a shame when it gets watered down to “prehistoric furries”, bc even if it could be like that on the surface level, their relationship with this idea could’ve been totally different and had a cultural context we don’t grasp at all yet…

Are they anthropomorphizing an animal to show its connection to humans? Are they doing this to display a connection between different parts of the self (instinct and reason)? Are they doing this to dehumanize the target? Are they doing this to recognize the inherent animality in all living things?
