FACTS about SNAP:

-35% to white people (largest share)
-90% to people born in 🇺🇸
-86% to households with kids
-70% work full time but aren’t paid a living wage (aka corporate welfare)

The reason 42 million Americans are on SNAP is because employers aren’t paying living wages.

An estimated 15.7 million workers use SNAP. It’s a lifeline for those in low-wage jobs.

Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.

Amazon is helping fund a $300 million build of a ballroom for the White House.

Independent bookstores are donating to food banks and organizations that help with food insecurity.

They are not the same.
And never should have pardoned Nixon
Trump and Republicans are spending money on everything except what benefits American families: $40 billion to bailout Argentina, $170 million on two private jets for Kristi Noem, and $300 million on a ballroom. While they refuse to help Americans with ballooning health care costs #Epsteinshutdown

Remember: The richest 1% evade over $160 billion in taxes every year.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.

Ask yourself who the real freeloaders are.

Amazon just announced 14,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $40M last year.

UPS announced 48,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $24M last year.

Intel announced 20,000 layoffs. Its new CEO's pay package is valued at nearly $69M.

This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

We know they were trafficking and raping young girls. It’s not much of a stretch to suspect there were also young boys who were taped and trafficked. And THAT is something even MAGA wouldn’t forgive. That would cause the entire thing to implode

In a country as wealthy as this, to have so many people needing SNAP benefits is unconscionable. Yes, we need to get the benefits turned back on and to help out our food pantries until then. But also we need to address the root of the problem!

I don’t know what our new premiums will be. But we have already been told that our current marketplace insurance company (AetnaCVS) is exiting Missouri. I don’t know who will cover us next year

The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth over $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP.

Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP.

The people who need help are not the problem.

It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.
