#GEMS is back and with some new features. We'll concentrate on one session per month and open our stage to more advanced researchers in the field. Kicking things off in October on the ever captivating topic of halide perovskites, we are looking forward to Matteo Degani and Philip Schulz.

Our new helium liquefier started operation yeterday! Liquid He can cool experiments down to a few Kelvin 🧊 but is both expensive and scarce. Replacing a 30-year old device, the liquefier contributes to a more sustainable way of doing science by recycling used He♻️

This Thursday, in a joint colloqium with the HYPMOL research group, we'll be hosting Shuxia Tao from TU Eindhoven to hear all about the interesting and intricate aspects of halide perovskites. Surely, lots about metal halide octahedra in this one ;)
Joins us for tea and biscuits from 3.15 pm.
