I don't know if I would want forums to come back because the only forum sites I still check on are gamefaqs and Metamorphose and both of those places want you dead if you're Trans so my general impression of what forums where anyone can join are like is negative

I don't think I would *have* a career as a game journalist if not for Yakuza. My old blogs about the evolution of various series mechanics, reviews of every minigame in the series, and other stuff is what made me really want to pursue a career in games writing. Despite that, fuck modern RGG

Y’all don’t understand how impactful this game was for me as an Okinawan who hasn’t been able to visit since I was five. Seeing these shallow changes and disgusting choices, a game I loved for its revealing look into Okinawan life and politics, is utterly erased.
yakuza kiwami 3 is an insult to the game rgg has purported to remake, its players, the studio's previous quality output and, bewilderingly, women. oh, and the casting of an admitted sex pest. i'm somewhere between dejection and fury.
