I'm just gaming in my free time. I mostly watch anime because its easy to digest and short. Wife started watching K drama. I enjoyed the first episodes of "Potato Lab" and "Bon Apetite, Your Majesty". Her BFF is going to be getting married next month so getting ready for that too.

Life updates for the friendos; small changes, like my oldest lost 2 teeth on the same day! (Going rate is $5 a tooth!) Luckily grandma came in clutch with cash for The Tooth Fairy. My younger kiddo is doing better at speech, she talks in small sentences. She's a bit behind, still in speech therapy.

Its definitely hard to work and parent at the same time. I stay home and my wife works and she only sees the kids in the morning and evenings and feels like she misses out. As long as we each try our best to do right by the kids, then I think we can say we are doing okay. IMO

I know my extremely skiddish boy cat wouldn't let my 2 year old near enough to put a small stuffed cat on him if he didnt really like her xD. With my oldest, they all bolt when she comes into the room lol.

Another thing is some podcasts; obv they are kind of mixing opinion and news so take them with a grain of salt. Stuff like 5-4 talks about the history of Supreme Court cases and how we got here. There's also In Bed with The Right which explores the Right's slide into religious extremism.

I like @kairyssdal.bsky.social from Marketplace. Honestly a lot of big NPR reporters have BlueSkys so I recommend starting there. For broad view, I like the AP. A lot of other news sources cite them for their news and they are pretty unbiased.

Right now I don't/can't but when I did, I listened to local NPR radio a lot since I was driving then a lot. There's a lot of independent journalists with integrity who publish more news on BlueSky than what they can publish in MSM. We support a couple journalists on patreon even.

I had no idea how much sugar was in ketchup! 4g per 1 TBSP! Wtf! And the sugar free is just made with artificial sugar which I hate. They make a version sweetened with vegetables like squash and carrots but its $3 more for a smaller bottle. (Almost $6 a bottle for 19.5oz. / a 20oz of reg. is $3.50)
